Our Story

At The Yogi Tribe we’ve created a space of warmth, calmness and a feeling of security where children of all ages can feel connected to something special. They come together to support, encourage, and lift one another up, while learning yoga taught in a fun and unique way.

Encouraging connection through games, movement, storytelling, and exploring the many yoga poses which help increase flexibility, balance, self-worth and confidence they gain a huge amount of benefits in many creative ways.

I created this business from my two loves - Yoga and Children.
Yoga has taught me so much about my own inner strength and shown me what we can be truly capable of.
Being an Early Childhood teacher for over 13 years, has created an immediate connection with children in making them feel safe, respected and happy. Having my preschool children always showing an interest in me doing “Yoghurt”, it became a daily conversation which led to them wanting to experience too.

New exciting poses and move their bodies in different ways, having talks about how our upstairs brain and body works and what it needs in order to function – i.e.; being able to calm ourselves when upset, angry, sad and doing it in a safe way. So, we began incorporating arts and crafts where children can use these as tools to regulate themselves (i.e. Eye pillows, breathing sticks, Mindfulness jars, Self-Love Crafts).

All children are given the space, time and opportunity to do things when they’re ready. Allowing this, children’s confidence and self-worth begins to grow and they begin to flourish.

Having a good sense of humour has been essential to working with kids as we can’t take ourselves too seriously.

So, whether its hi-fives, hugs, notes for the tribes feel good jar, knuckles or just a wink, that connection is made which makes all children feel welcome in our tribe.

Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem and body awareness with a physical activity that's non-competitive. Fostering cooperation and compassion—instead of opposition—is a great gift to give our children.
We look forward to you joining our tribe.

Namaste,
